Andrew HammondAndrew Hammond has taught English and Drama in Prep schools for twelve years, and is still teaching English at Common Entrance and Scholarship levels. He has written over thirty textbooks for a range of publishers including: Hodder, Galore Park, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Heinemann, Rigby, Lucky Duck Publishing and Rising Stars. He writes regularly for the Times Educational Supplement. Recent publications include: English for Common Entrance (Hodder) and the Junior English Prep series (Galore Park).

Andrew holds a Masters Degree in English in Education from King’s College London and a BA (Hons) QTS from Bath Spa University College. He delivers INSET across the country on English and Drama education in Prep schools. Andrew is ISEB English Editor, a Common Entrance Setter and joint IAPS Subject Leader for English.

Andrew lives in West Sussex with his wife and four children. He is Deputy Head (Academic) and Head of English at Copthorne Preparatory School, West Sussex.
