Individual Learning Plans PDF Print E-mail

English IPS offers parents a service unique to prep schools, in which tailor-made learning plans are drafted for their children, setting out individual targets and goals which will guide the revision they do at home.

The process begins with a free consultation – either face-to-face or over the telephone. This is followed by the completion by the student of an English IPS assessment test. This will give us a clear indication of the areas of English learning which your child may need to focus on during their revision at home. The service is designed to complement the work completed at school, but is primarily focused on guiding their work at home. The instructions children receive from their school teachers must remain their first priority.
Individual learning plans may include specific guidance and agreed targets on:

  • reading comprehension
  • specific grammar and punctuation skills
  • spelling and handwriting
  • essay writing
  • compositional work
  • speaking and listening

Our individual learning supervisors are experienced Prep school teachers, still teaching today, and well versed in the requirements of Common Entrance, Scholarships and SATs.
